Aggravated

I was very aggravated with Summit Entertainment yesterday when it was announced that Rachelle Lefevre was being recast as Victoria in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse movie. Don't get me wrong, I love Bryce Dallas Howard. She was wonderful in The Village. But Rachelle Lefevre was the perfect Victoria. (If you have read the Twilight books you know what I mean). Eclipse is my favorite book in the series and it would have been Victoria's time to shine. It's a shame Rachelle didn't get a chance.

I am a purest when it comes to my movies and if you start out with an actor in a character, you should keep him/her. I am still trying to get over the recasting of Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies and at least they had a reason to recast him (may Richard Harris rest in peace).

Will this keep me from seeing Eclipse? No but just let them recast Edward and just see how fast I fly the coop.

Welcome to my world

Greetings one and all!

Welcome to my first attempt at a blog. Let me begin by telling you a little about myself. I am an avid (some would say overly obsessive) movie and music fan from waaay back. My favorite movies are too numerous to mention. I will be a die hard Kevin Costner fan until the day I die. I would pay $6.75 to watch George Clooney, Hugh Jackman, Steve Martin, Billy Crystal, Richard Gere, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and John Cusick read the telephone book. (I am sure there are others on the list but I just can't remember them right now. But be assured, it's an honor to make the list.) My newest obsession is Twilight and the ever so hunky Robert Pattinson. He makes me swoon even though he was born the year I graduated high school. (A girl needs to have her fantasys you know). I would rather watch paint dry than go to a Clint Eastwood movie. I am a huge Disney & Pixar fan. Beauty and the Beast is the best Disney movie ever made. Comedys are great, tear-jerkers not so much. I love Shakespeare movies. Nora Ephron movies are wonderful.

On the music front, Harry Connick Jr. is my man. Frank Sinatra is up there too. My musical tastes are broad and include pop, country, christian, big band, and disco. And being the intense movie fanatic I am, I love movie soundtracks. (Nora Ephron movies have the best soundtracks)

Several years ago, I accepted my dream job as AV Librarian at the local library. What I hope to do with this blog is post movie and music reviews. I may also add some of my own ramblings.
Hope you enjoy!
